Worship
Music has been a huge part of the Vineyard movement. Vineyard music, in my opinion, set the standard for intimate worship songs. The Vineyard music website has a wealth of worship material and I encourage you to check them out. You will find samples you can listen to before you buy. In town, The Scroll Christian Bookstore carries many of the Vineyard worship CDs.
We believe that worship to our Heavenly Father is not just something that He deserves as a daily part of our lives, but through it, He brings changes deep within us that may never have occurred - or would have been painfully delayed.
When we abandon ourselves (flesh, self, personality hang-ups, embarrassment) before the Father and step into His chambers, sing, dance, shout, clap, bow, before Him - our one and only audience - something happens in us that reaches to our very core. As we learn to let Him love us during times of worship, we are being changed to become more like His Son....More like the bride that He will present to His Son.
For all eternity we will worship Him. Worship also breaks the chains that bind us. When we worship Him, He does battle for us in the Heavenlies and binds things on earth for us. We were created to worship. We will worship something. Let it be Him! When daily life seems too difficult, or even just mundane, pop in a CD, close your bedroom door, and surrender to His dance!
